I have a statutory health policy. Can I receive treatment from one of your medical specialists?

Of course. As a patient with statutory health insurance, you can schedule an appointment in our private practice for self-paying patients. A transparent, written invoice will be issued for the treatment, based on the German fee schedule for physicians (GOÄ). The patient is generally responsible for the treatment costs; billing through statutory health insurance is not possible.

How can I schedule an appointment at your practice?

You can visit DERMATOLOGIE DES WESTENS by appointment only. You can reach our reception under the telephone number: 030 – 40 20 30 978 and can schedule an appointment with one of our specialists. Our reception staff will be happy to help you with any questions you may have.

What are your consultation hours?

DERMATOLOGIE DES WESTENS has the following consultation hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Additional appointments can be arranged at any time if needed. These will be determined by the doctors.

How can I schedule an appointment for a medical cosmetic treatment?

An appointment with our medical cosmeticians can only be scheduled following an indication by one of our in-house dermatology specialists, for example following a diagnosis for acne, rosacea or perioral dermatitis.

Follow-up appointments can be scheduled directly with the medical cosmetician by calling: 030 40 20 30 978.

Do I always need to schedule an appointment for my desensitisation treatments?

Patients who come to DERMATOLOGIE DES WESTENS to undergo desensitisation treatments are welcome to visit our practice without an appointment. Please arrive 30 minutes before consultation hours are scheduled to end.

How can I receive help in an emergency, at night, on weekends or on holidays?

DERMATOLOGIE DES WESTENS does not have an emergency number. Please contact a clinic with a dermatology department in case of emergency. In Berlin these include:

How can I get to the practice?

DERMATOLOGIE DES WESTENS is located centrally in Berlin’s City West, directly on the  Kurfürstendamm and can be easily reached by public transportation. Various subway and bus lines stop at nearby Olivaer Platz or Adenauerplatz. From here it is just a few minutes’ walk to the practice.

Is there parking near the practice?

Parking is available for a fee at the Leibnizkolonnaden Garage (Parkhaus Leibnizkolonnaden), in the Leibnizstraße 49, 10629 Berlin. Opening hours: Mon – Sat 6 am to 8 pm (1st hour € 1.50; every additional hour € 2.00).

There is also public parking on the median of the Kurfürstendamm, for which tickets can be purchased from the parking metres.

How much does consultation cost?

Costs for medical consultations and examinations will be charged according to individual services provided.

An appointment of maximum duration of 15 minutes costs € 50.00-€ 80.00. Resulting examinations or therapies will be charged in addition to the consultation fee. You will receive a detailed invoice according to the current fee scale for medical practitioners in Germany (GOÄ) for all services rendered.
